Music is a powerful tool for learning. The Center is fortunate enough to have a dedicated space made possible by a gift from Charles Modica, which enables the provision of individual and small group music lessons to every student that attends the Center.

Thanks to grants and music specialists from groups like Grace Notes, every elementary student takes recorder lessons, and middle school students can choose between instruction on either the piano or ukulele. Music provides a valuable vehicle for self-expression, giving children an outlet for their feelings. It also exposes them to multi-sensory experiences, which research shows enhance learning abilities and encourage cognitive development.
