What began as one small act of kindness has grown into one of our most cherished events. Years ago, a student took a small item from Ms. Runner’s desk, hoping to give his teacher a gift like his classmates had. Instead of punishment, Ms. Runner saw an opportunity to teach the joy of giving, and the Shop-A-Thon was born.

Each year, our students “shop” for gifts for their families, teachers, and friends from a collection of donated items, experiencing the true joy of giving, many for the very first time. The smiles, laughter, and pride on their faces remind us what this season is all about.
