Garden Luau - 4/18/24

The Garden Luau Summer Camp Fundraiser

Grab your Hawaiian shirts and join us at the Tutorial Center for Music, Food, Beverages, an Auction, and Games at our Garden Luau on April 18, 2024 from 5:30 - 7:00pm. This annual event, held in honor of Earth Day and Simon's Giving Garden, is tons of fun. Proceeds from the event support our amazing Summer Camp program.

Started in 1986 as the West Jupiter Community Group, the Center has grown to provide senior programs, community support, and after-school, spring break, and summer camp services for thousands of K-8 students.  Over the nine weeks of summer and during spring break, a full-day program allows the staff additional time to both educate and support the development of life skills and to expose students to new places, activities, and experiences, including field trips and guest speakers.

The Edna W. Runner Tutorial Center's summer camp has been proven to limit the 'summer slide,' ensuring that each student's progress continues despite school being on break. Reading, math, project activities, and excursions are designed to be fun and to help develop core skills such as communication, academic self-efficacy, self-control, and teamwork - all of which are linked to positive academic and socio-emotional outcomes.

If you CAN't join us, you can make a donation and you will be starting a garden for our summer camp  - and YOU will be send your own garden kit!
